Already have a website — hand-written HTML, or a site built with React, Vue, Astro, Hugo or similar? Host it on Sitesfare instead of using a template, on the same plan.
How it works
- Pick a category. Dashboard → New site → choose what you are building (portfolio, business, store, wedding…).
- Get its plan. Every category goes live with its own tool, for example Creative & Design for a design portfolio or Business Website for a company site. If you already have it with a free website slot, you skip straight on.
- Bring your own code. Choose Bring your own code instead of a template, pick your address (
yourname.sitesfare.com), and upload.
Your own-code site is covered by the plan exactly like a template site: mailboxes, custom domain, analytics, renewals, and the 60-day rule if a renewal is missed.
Two ways to upload
A .zip file. Zip your site folder and drop it on the Code page. If everything is inside one folder, that is fine; we look inside it.
A public GitHub repository. Paste the address (for example https://github.com/you/your-site). Optionally choose a branch and a folder such as dist, build, public or docs. After that, Sync from GitHub now publishes your latest commit whenever you like. Private repositories are not supported: make it public, or upload a .zip.
Each upload replaces the live site in one go. Visitors never see a half-updated site.
What your site can contain
index.htmlat the top: this is your home page.- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images (PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, SVG, ICO), fonts, video, audio, PDFs, JSON and XML.
- Up to 500 files and 25 MB in total (5 MB per file). Bigger photos and videos belong in your media library.
- Clean addresses:
about/index.htmlopens at/about. A404.htmlbecomes your not-found page.
What is not supported
Sitesfare serves websites; it does not run servers or build steps. An upload is refused if it contains:
- server code: PHP, Python, Ruby, Go, Java, or Node servers (
server/,api/); - project and build files:
package.json, lock files, tsconfig.json, framework configs,.ts/.tsx/.jsxsource; Dockerfile,.envfiles, executables or archives inside the archive.
Built with a framework? Run your build on your computer (for example npm run build) and upload the folder it produces: usually dist, build or out.
Files that are not part of a website, such as README.md, LICENSE and hidden files, are skipped and listed so you can see what was left out.
What Sitesfare adds
Like every Sitesfare site, your pages get the correct address for search engines (and your custom domain once connected), our privacy-friendly analytics, Google Search Console verification, and a robots.txt and sitemap.xml if you did not include your own. The small Made with Sitesfare line appears at the bottom unless you add Remove Sitesfare branding.
Good to know
- You can publish new versions as often as your plan's daily deploy limit allows.
- Use only code and content you have the right to publish. Our terms of service apply to everything hosted here.
- Want to switch to a template later? Create a new site in the same category.
