Your store offers shoppers only the payment methods you switch on, in the editor's Checkout & payments section. You can offer one, two or all three. Use the picker above to see what each looks like to a shopper and what you do after the order — and to check your UPI ID or payment link before you paste it in.
The rule that never changes: nobody types card details into a Sitesfare store. Payment happens in the shopper's UPI app, on your payment provider's own page, or at the door. Sitesfare takes 0% of your sales.
UPI
- Set up: paste your UPI ID (for example
yourstore@okaxis) into UPI ID. Find it in Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm under your profile. UPI is offered only when your store sells in rupees. - What the shopper sees after placing the order: Pay US$27.99 by UPI to yourstore@okaxis (note: Order 1001) and a Pay with a UPI app button that opens their UPI app with the amount and note filled in. The same instructions are in their receipt email.
- What you do: when the payment shows in your UPI app (the note carries the order number), mark the order Paid.
Your own payment page (cards, net banking, wallets)
- Set up: create a payment page with your provider and paste its https link into Online payment page link:
- Razorpay → Payment Pages (or a Payment Link)
- Cashfree → Payment Forms
- Stripe → Payment Links
- PayPal → PayPal.Me or a payment link
- What the shopper sees: a Pay now button to your page, with the order total shown so they pay the right amount.
- What you do: your provider emails you each payment; match it to the order (amount, name, email) and mark the order Paid.
- Fees: your provider's own fee only.
Cash on delivery
- Set up: Cash on delivery → On.
- What the shopper sees: You pay US$27.99 in cash when your order arrives.
- What you do: many stores call or WhatsApp to confirm a cash-on-delivery order before shipping (the order shows the shopper's phone and a WhatsApp link). Mark it Paid when the cash is collected.
If you switch nothing on
Your store holds orders. Place order stays on the page, and when a shopper presses it they see The payment gateway is not yet configured for this store, so orders cannot be placed online yet. Please contact the store directly. Nothing is saved or charged. The editor shows Orders are on hold until you switch one on — then orders flow straight away.
Questions
Why doesn't Sitesfare confirm payments automatically? Today your store hands the shopper to UPI, your payment page or cash on delivery, so the confirmation lands with you. Marking an order Paid takes one click in Dashboard → Orders.
Can a shopper change the price? No. The total is worked out by your store's server from the prices you set in the editor; whatever the shopper's browser sends is ignored.
Can I offer a discount for UPI or prepaid orders? Create a coupon (for example PREPAID5 5%) and mention it on your site.
